Just another WordPress.com site

He let me kiss his head
a simple act, one he had no part in,
but one that meant so much.

He didn’t pull away
head on my chest,
watching the film,
he is unaware of
the gift he’s bestowed on me.

His head talking to my heart
my heartbeat talking back,
like a shell whispering
words from the sea.

There was no talk
of getting too attached,
no words, so no lies.

Before there was fighting,
before there was distrust.
Now there is simplicity
Now there is this.
